the Silly Awards

The Silly Awards is a satirical live award show put on by Maxggs, streamed live on Twitch and Youtube and in front of a live audience. The live Twitch broadcast reached a peak of 12,000+ concurrent viewers on January 25, 2026.
My role was to design the event's logo and capture the show's playful, exaggerated personality. This project took four days and a five rounds of iterations.
As I was creating the branding, it was important to create a memorable identity that balances the comedic personality of the show and a level of professionalism. The logo needed to work well on Youtube thumbnails and other branding elements and ensure scalability. I researched "funky" logo designs and branding, creating a moodboard of my findings.
The client, Max, narrowed down the style he wanted and we built the logo design from there. It was important to keep the logo new and fresh, while also making it consistent with previous branding from his Live Shows.
With our final design, a color palette was chosen and the logo was sent of to Michelle (@drugstorealien) to create the branding elements!
